The best properties understand that guests don’t just need a place to lay their heads: they want great experiences. From the first picture a guest sees online, to the welcome they get at check-in, the food they eat and the ambience they find, their experience of a property is made up of dozens of vital little details.
Four years ago, we decided it was time to recognise those partners that get the details right. The guest experience is at the heart of everything we do and the same is true for our partners, so these awards are a chance to share their achievements with the world.
At the beginning of 2017, the Guest Review Awards will be sent to any Booking.com property with an average score of 8 or above, based on reviews published on the site up to 1 November 2016. Only properties with 10 or more reviews are eligible.
With more than 100 million reviews now on the site, a vast amount of data is analysed to ensure that the properties which offer guests the best experiences get the recognition they deserve.
Only verified reviews appear on Booking.com and a dedicated customer service team ensures that only scores from these genuine guests who have stayed at a property are included.
And more of our partners make the grade each year. The number of eligible properties increased by 25%, up from 283,000 in 2015 to 355,000 in 2016. Each of those properties gets an official certificate, a window sticker and digital assets, so guests know that they’ll be booking a stay that provides genuinely great experiences.
